Project description
The client is a municipal company for the supply of electricity, natural gas and district heating in the Free State of Thuringia. At the Jena-Göschwitz site, a gas and steam turbine combined heat and power plant („CCPP“) is operated.
In order to supplement the CCPP, the client intends to increase the combined heat and power share of the heat utilization by constructing a gas engine plant on the site of the Jena CCPP, consisting of five gas engines together with a gas engine operating building, as well as a pressurized heat storage plant. The gas engines and pressurized heat storage plant are intended to further increase the flexibility of the plant.
For our customer, MAN Energy Solutions SE, the experts of our subsidiary INP Croatia are taking over the planning services for the gas engine plant including the power plant building.
