Project description

Morocco's demand for energy is growing rapidly. The sulfate industry in particular with its ever-increasing production represents a major energy consumer. For this reason, the coal-fired power plant in Jorf Lasfar, the main transshipment port for sulfate exports, was expanded. The existing blocks 1 and 2 were supplemented by blocks 3 and 4 with 330 MW electrical output each.
INP International Projects supplied the control systems of the DCS as well as the steam turbine regulator from basic to detailed engineering. The company produced both the necessary software and corresponding operating pictures, and the wiring and cabling documents. Operation and visualization of the automation technology for the boiler were also integrated into the cross-plant
DCS.
