Dörpen West – Substation/HVDC Transmission

As part of the HVDC transmission projects, DolWin 1 and 2, HVDC transmission lines are being laid in the Leer/Dörpen region on behalf of TenneT TSO GmbH, and several highly modern HVDC transmission substations are being built at the Dörpen site. The connection and thus link-up between the corresponding offshore wind farms and the public grid is carried out in the land-based station, in the Dörpen West substation.

• Creation, introduction and monitoring of HSE plans as well as updating risk assessments taking account of the statutory situation and ABB guidelines
• Presentation of the HSE concepts to the customer in coordination with the client
• Consulting, if necessary training of the site personnel in health, safety and environmental protection as well as accident prevention, in accordance with the codes of practice and HSE handbook
• Implementation of safety measures during the construction phase and monitoring of the same
• Planning and monitoring of the accident reporting and rescue system
• Cooperation with the work permit process on the site
• Communication and clarification with public authorities and government representatives
