The Deutsch-Holländische Tabakgesellschaft (DHT) in Hockenheim has been producing homogenized tobacco as a wrapper and covering for cigarillos and cigars ever since 1957. From 1957 until 1962 its operations were exclusively in Mannheim, but to Hockenheim in 1962. INP Deutschland was engaged to carry out several modernization projects.

Project description

The main project with a project volume of €1.35 m involves modernization of the mixing plant. Furthermore, a new production system (line 7) is being moved from the sister plant in Eindhoven to Hockenheim. INP carried out the project coordination, supplier identification and selection as well as budget and deadline checking for both projects. Furthermore, INP prepared a modernization concept for the mixing plant. As a result of the broad stance taken by INP International Projects, DHT Hockenheim can be supported in a large number of different engineering disciplines. For example, the various projects include process engineers, chemical engineers, hardware planners, programmers and automation technicians.
