The hard coal fired power plant in Kozienice, Poland is being built by Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Europe (MHPSE) and the consortium partner Polimex-Mostostal. The principal is the Polish energy provider Enea Wytwarzanie, who operates additional power plants at the location. The steam generator and the turbine (both are core components of the ultra-modern power plant) come from Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems. Polimex-Mostostal is responsible for the construction and installation. The cornerstone for the power plant was laid on November 21, 2012 and the first boiler column was set in June 2014. It is the base for a steel structure totaling 3,250 tons. The system is designed for an installed capacity of 1,075 MGW and a net efficiency of 45.59%. After the planned commissioning in the year 2017, it will be among the world‘s most powerful of its kind.
Since spring 2014, INP has also been on the construction site and actively supporting our customer Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems. Since the Polish market is also of interest to INP in the future, we have set up a business premises on site. Our international team of now 10 employees works in the fields of construction site administration, quality assurance, documentation and commissioning.
