As can be read in the expressed values and visions of INP, the company stands for continuity, professionalism, as well as longterm solutions and prospects for customers and especially for employees. This is why, for all intents and purposes, it is one of INP's key concerns to invest in the future of young people and to train them to become professional and competent employees. In addition, INP sees education as a social and corporate responsibility.
Since 1997, INP has been training "businessmen for office management" and "IT specialists for system integration". In addition, training has already been carried out for the "human resources services consultants" and the "assistant for marketing and communications". All in all, INP helped 17 young adults successfully complete their training. Of course, some of the trainees continue on to other ventures, to look for challenges outside the training company. But initially, each apprentice receives a temporary half-year contract, especially to be able to focus on the final examinations with full vigor.
Stability and continuity are thus not just slogans, they are actually carried out here. If one asks Annette Jester, HR and training Manager at INP, she gladly admits that you have to invest a lot, especially in the beginning. But this intensive care and support of young people pays off. "We demand a lot, but we also support a lot!", says Jester. The goal is to train the young people, who are usually still in their teens, to become competent and self-sufficient young adults in order to be able to send them off into the professional world with a clear conscience. Since INP is a service company and therefore the contact with people (whether customer or co-worker does not matter) is in the spotlight, it is expected that employees are intuitive and approachable, but also conscientious and meticulous.
In order to provide the business management apprentices with a versatile insight, they go through all departments at INP. This way, they are intensively supervised and supported by the respective employees during their stay. "At this point, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the colleagues who are taking on this task," says Annette Jester, "because we owe it to their commitment that our apprentices are so well-informed." Starting with the issue of incoming and outgoing financial transaction to human resources, controlling, recruiting, marketing, administrative services, and order processing, it is sometimes even possible to have a glimpse at the IT department. The tasks are as diverse as the knowledge that is conveyed. Mrs. Jester ads: "Because it is important to us that trainees can have a broader view at the end of their training, work together and think in a networked way. They should not only be able to be used internally in each position, but they should also easily handle the tasks they face in other companies."
In order to claim one of the coveted training places at INP, there is a basic requirement, which must be fulfilled. "We expect the young people who are applying here to be interested in their new job and have a thirst for knowledge," Annette Jester continues. "Because if the attention and commitment are right, the training is not only a challenge but also a lot of fun!" The trainees are included in all company events right from the start and are seen as part of the INP family.
When a specific potential is identified, the response is to provide support and offer exciting challenges. Mrs. Jester explains: "One of our trainees, for example, had great interest in studying economics after completing his business management training. We supported him in that endeavor and now he is a DHBW-student [DHBW = Dual University of Baden-Württemberg] studying accounting and controlling and will soon graduate."
This year in October, two new apprentices will start their professional career at INP. "We are pleased and proud to have the opportunity to support young people – at least for a certain time – and to send them off into a successful professional career", concludes Mrs. Jester with a smile.
