Here we go, the new building at the INP site in Römerberg is completed. And because a new building needs a name, the management decided to arrange for a competition for the best name. Many interesting suggestions were made and in the end the jury decided to nominate “Old Test Bay” as the winner, since the new building is located on the site of the former test bay.
During the last few years, the management invested in office space and technical infrastructure. Now they decided to invest in staff facilities and built a large common room with kitchen, a quiet room for relaxation, and three high-tech conference rooms. The building was constructed of wood which makes it highly sustainable und guarantees best insulation. Additionally, INP arranged for all roofs to be provided with photovoltaic systems to climate-neutrally cover the power consumption.
In the following video one can see the whole building process from the demolition of the former test bay up to the termination of the new building in under two minutes.
