Now an important phase of my life draws to a close
When Katharina Jester-Lutz founded Nicklas & Partner GmbH in 1989, she had no idea that the small engineering bureau in Speyer would one day grow into a global player. However, the seasoned engineer and her two business partners, Klaus Jungknecht and Norbert Nicklas, took the right decisions.
The company based in Römerberg has operated under the name INP Deutschland GmbH since 2007, and currently employs more than 400 people worldwide. The internationally active engineering service provider in the power plant and major plant construction sector has subsidiaries in Switzerland, Austria, the USA, South Africa, France and Brazil, in addition to opening project bureaus in Canada and Poland in 2014. Further international bureaus are slated to follow next year, in a development that Ms. Jester-Lutz describes as, "continuing on an extremely positive course, with the emphasis on sustainability and balance."
The company proprietor has been active on the Board of Management right from the start and focused on getting the overall project management business going. She has been planning her withdrawal from operative business for some time.
At the start of 2014, Ms. Jester-Lutz resigned from the Board of Management and initiated smooth transitional arrangements for her various tasks. Since then, the company has been exclusively managed by Georg Jester and Knut Mertens. "Of course I am looking forward to having more time to devote to my private interests, but I will certainly continue to keep an eye on what INP is doing, after all I remain a co-owner," says Ms. Jester-Lutz. "The company is and will remain an important part of my life."
