7th VDMA-Baustellentag: Mega projects in large-scale plant construction Construction site management in the USA

INP presentation at the 7th VDMA Baustellentag („Construction Site Day“) on June 3rd, 2016 in Frankfurt

On June 2nd and 3rd of this year, the VDMA Baustellentag will take place in Frankfurt for what is already the seventh time. As in past years, INP will participate in the event, this time by giving a talk on construction site management in the USA. Jens Jakob, Senior Engineer and Business Development Manager of INP Deutschland GmbH, and Andreas Dröge, General Manager of INP North America Inc., report on successful strategies and solutions for transatlantic cooperation in large-scale plant construction.

INP can look back on a long and intensive transatlantic history. The engineering service provider, founded in 1989 and headquartered in Römerberg bei Speyer, opened an affiliate in Atlanta, USA, in 2000. In recent years, additional companies have been founded in the NAFTA area: a national subsidiary in Canada and a project office in Mexico. One of INP‘s core competencies is surely its „US link“. Under the motto „We close the gaps between European plant builders and the North American Market,“ INP offers a broad palette of experts, service and know-how for successful trans-Atlantic cooperation.

The talk given by the INP experts on the morning of June 3rd is dedicated to the question of how European plant builders can successfully complete projects and construction sites in the NAFTA region. In particular, the following topics will be examined: What is the initial situation, and what framework conditions apply? Is the risk calculable, or will this foray into the American continent keep us in suspense? What technical, cultural, or conceptual differences need to be overcome? Jakob and Dröge will also be reporting on experiences with German-speaking suppliers and project developers on the American continent and will point out successful solutions for the US market under the heading „lessons learned“.

The event organizer is targeting his invitation especially to participants from machine and plant construction, but also includes the upand downstream parts of the value chain, as well as service providers and other partners.
